What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small textfile which is saved to your computer when you visit a website. This textfile can save informations which can be reloaded by the website on another of your visits. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function correctly. Others are an advantage for the visitor: they will save e.g. your language settings. Cookies save informations for your next visit so you do not need to enter them again.

1. Open Firefox
2. Press „Alt“ on your keyboard.
3. Choose „Tools“ and then „Options“ from your menu bar.
4. Choose the tab „Privacy“.

6. Untick „Accept Cookies from sites“ and save your settings.

Internet Explorer:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click „Tools“ and then „Internet options“.
3. Choose the tab „Privacy“.
4. Untick „Cookies“ and save your settings.

Google Chrome:

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Choose “Settings”.
3. Click “Display advanced settings”.
4. Choose the tab „Privacy“ and click „Content settings“
5. Deactivate „Cookies“ and save your settings.

Safari:

1. Open Safari.
2. Choose „Settings“ via the functions symbol (gray gear wheel on top right) and click „Privacy“.
3. At „AcceptCookies“ you may specify if and when Safari should accept cookies from websites. Click Help (?) for more informations.
4. In case you want to learn more about cookies saved to your computer click „Show Cookies“.

 

Use of Matomo™ for web analysis

Insofar as your consent in accordance with Art. 6 § 1 s. 1 lit. a GDPR for the purpose of website analysis has been given on this site,  the web analysis software Matomo (https://matomo.org), a service of the provider InnoCraft Ltd., automatically collected and stored on site visit data from which using be created by pseudonyms usage profiles. Cookies are used. The pseudonymised user profiles will not be merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym without explicit consent. After expediency and the end of the use of Matomo by us, the data collected in this context will be deleted.
