Rubbing clubs for singing bowls

Singing bowls can generate sound not only being hit with mallets, but also with rubbing clubs. To gradually produce a sustained sound, rub the club along the outside of the upper rim of the bowl without losing contact. 
This requires a little practice at first.

The larger and more open the shape of the singing bowl, the easier it is to elicit "singing" sounds from it with the rubbing club.

Tried and tested are rubbing clubs made of wood or coated with textile leather.

Professional singing bowl rubbing clubs come with aluminum core covered with silicone. 
This makes them well balanced, facilitating rubbing, and they generate the sound of the singing bowl without any audible rubbing noise.
