Muladhara Chakra
Literally "root" or "fundament" this chakra is located at the base of the spine, symbolizing the root, the beginning of life.

Svadisthana Chakra
Literally „one's own place" the Svadisthana Chakra is connected with tongue and taste. It activates sexual organs, kidneys and the urinal system.

Manipura Chakra
The „City of the Jewel" (mani-pura) is the center of energy, will and success, often compared to the heat of the sun which makes life on earth possible.  Manipura Chakra provides the human with this very energy.

Anahata Chakra
Often named Heart-Chakra, not meaning the biological heart  but an expanded dimension. It is connected to the parts of the brain capable for creativity in arts, music, dance, and poetry.

Vishuddhi Chakra
The „Center of Cleaning" (shuddhi - cleaning) enables cleaning and thereby harmonizing of opposites. Vishuddhi represents a state of openess. Life is understood as a possibility to collect experiences which lead to deeper understanding.

Ajna Chakra
Literally „obeying" or „following", this Chakra connects teacher and student. The voice of the inner teacher becomes audible here - after detachement from the senses, and reaching the state of emptiness (shunya).

Bindu
Literally „drop" or „point", is a yantra, a diagram showing a crescent (in a moonlit night) and a point, the Center of the Universe. Bindu is source of all creativity and the prime sound of creation, a level of consciousness beyond experience.

Sahasrara Padma
Upon the plane of the thousand-petaled lotus (sahasra= „thousand") is the infinite space of the meta-consciousness. This level is located above apex where duality dissolves into oneness, e.g. Shiva and Shakti, sun and moon and others.
