Kalimbas are easy-to-play sound tongue instruments that have their origins in southern Africa and can be found there in countless shapes and designs. The well-known manufacturer HOKEMA has perfected this instrument both in terms of sound and workmanship and has thus set the highest standards.

The Kalimba B17 is carefully handcrafted from solid American cherry in Germany. The surfaces are treated and polished with vegetable oils and waxes. The 17 sound tongues are precisely tuned in the C major scale, which means that a variety of well-known songs can be played.

The arrangement of the sound tongues means that both songs and chords can be played. In order to find the position of the basic chords C, F and G quickly, they can be marked with the enclosed colored magnetic plates on the reeds.
In addition, this fascinating instrument invites you to play intuitively and improvise.
