The Shrutibox Paloma small is a small and light model and therefore especially comfortable for on the way. Its sound is balanced, warm and full.
The construction in solid teak wood, the silky matt varnish and the very fine workmanship give the instrument a particularly noble character.
Because of the relatively small volume of the bellows, a little practice is needed to keep the sound constant, especially if several notes are to be heard at the same time. Even very quiet playing and very finely differentiated volume variations require some skill in bellows control. However, it is very easy to play rhythmically accentuated with powerful bellows jolts. A spring ensures fast resetting of the bellows to be led into the air.
13 chromatic tones from c to c'. Since each of the twelve semitones occurs at least once and can be set up or down a fifth or fourth for a full overall sound, this tuning offers a variety of possibilities that are completely sufficient for most ranges.
Completely made of solid wood with silk matt lacquered surfaces; transport bolt and sound flaps also made of silk matt lacquered solid wood; sound flaps with leather seals; cardboard bellows with leather seals; air supply bellows with return spring; including sturdy plastic carrier bag with shoulder strap.
